Old Style Layouts

Emily's 9th Birthday is Tuesday, May 1.  I pulled out some of her older scrapbooks to reminise her younger years.  I absolutely LOVE my old pages!  I love the bright papers I used to use.  I'm also so proud of myself for including so many details of her younger years so I can remember the little things from her life.  I have done this for Caroline too.  Caroline's birthday is later in the month so I'll be pulling her old stuff out too.  Here are some of my favorite from Emily's preschool books:

My first package of Stampin' Up paper!

The 1st page I ever stamped!  I spent SOOO much time on this page and I still absolutely love it!  I'm so glad I still love my old style of scrappin'!

New Goodies

These are some of my "goodies" from the Louisville Convention:
I absolutely LOVE idea books and magazines.  I received one of these for free for signing up on-line for the convention.  I love to just read and look at them over and over again.  I normally have a scrap magazine wherever I go!  And, now I have a few new ones to look through.

For making so cute flowers for my pages

I got this awesome smash book for free through a class I took.  Well, I guess I technically did pay for it since I did pay for the class.  Got some great ideas on how to use this type of book and now I really would like several more.

The stuff that came with the Smash book.

I just LOVE doilies.  This is a diecut that I can run through my Cuttle Bug.

Happy Scrappin'!

Using Kitcken Supplies on Your Layouts

One of the classes I took at convention this year was called "Using Kitchen Supplies".  This class showed ideas for using cupcake liners, doilies, bakers twine, and sucker sticks.  All so cute!
I LOVE the adorable blue flower.  We made it with a doily.  We took a white doily and then sprayed it with a colored mist (I'm going to look at Michaels and Hob Lob for some different colors).  Then we cut it and formed it into this cool flower.  The cupcake liners pictured here are not great.  The class was SO fast, I really didn't have much time to do these right.  I went on youtube this morning to find a video that showed me how to make flowers out of cupcake liners.  This is just one way:

I will try to use some of these ideas on some pages this week and I'll post them here!  Enjoy!
